THE OPEN PAGES INITIATIVE
Founded in 2023 as a humble initiative by a Nigerian family who emigrated to the United States,
OPEN PAGES INITIATIVE is built on a foundation of service and deep respect for human rights.
It was created to address educational poverty in underprivileged communities in improve their
access to resources, that will enable them learn and develop to achieve their full
potential. Our activities are mainly to individuals in socially disadvantaged districts within the United States, although we started as an international outreach. In the United States, OPEN PAGES INITIATIVE was born to give the
power of reading to those who need it most.
As a registered non-profit organization in the United States, with a 501(c)(3) status, OPEN
PAGES INITIATIVE has a mission to inform, educate and empower young minds. Our team
comprises of a US based physician, educators and volunteers.
Over the years, there have been significant overall decline in education in several places despite the popularity of social media. Kids in poorly funded public schools and some rural communities are most affected because their
opportunities are still substantially limited. They lack access to modern resources for learning. Open Pages Initiative Foundation concentrates its
efforts to empower and amplify communities most affected by these educational inequities, thereby
driving our impact.
Our Mission
Our mission is to support the elementary and secondary education in very poor communities by implementing sustainable solutions that will address their unique challenges. Through
collaborative efforts with local stakeholders, governments, and international partners, we aim to improve infrastructure, provide teacher training and support, ensure the availability of
educational resources, and foster community engagement. Our mission is to empower children in these communities with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities they need to break the cycle of poverty and build a brighter future for themselves and the society.
Our Vision
Our vision is to create a future where children in resource limited settings have access to quality
education in an environment that would support their learning, thereby enabling them to reach their full potential and contribute meaningfully to the development of their communities and the
society.
